Milestone Engineering, Inc. was selected by BNSF to extend the existing Willow Springs siding north to obtain 10,000 Track Foot capacity north of Burnham Road. The project was located on the Heartland Division on the Thayer North Subdivision in Willow Springs, Missouri. The project improvements included a new double track 3-span bridge over the Eleven Point Creek for both the siding and the mainline, installation of new drainage pipes, grading, and environmental permitting. In addition, the project included construction of a new Grade Separation over the BNSF Railway to connect Business 60/63 with Pine Grove Road in return for the permanent closures of two (2) at grade public crossings located at Pine Grove Road and Farm Road 5900.
