Milestone Engineering, Inc. was selected to provide Construction Management Services on the Heartland Division, Cherokee Subdivision, at MP 417.4 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This is a bridge replacement project for the two (2) bridges for Highway 11 bridge just west of Tulsa International Airport. The replacement bridges are four (4) span bridges on Highway 11 over the BNSF Railway. The new bridges will utilize the existing foundations and due to a future double track project, crash walls are required. The portion of the project over BNSF consists of one (1) 47’ span steel I-beam with a minimum vertical clearance of 23’-0 1/8” to the top of rail and minimum horizontal clearance of 11-2” to the to the centerline of the future track. This bridge is designed to allow future BNSF expansion north and south of the existing track.
