Milestone Engineering, Inc. was selected by the BNSF Economic Development Group to design and construct pavement repairs within the BNSF Lindenwood Yard, also known as BNSF’s St. Louis Intermodal Terminal.  The project was located on the Heartland Division on the Cuba Sudivision, near Lindenwood, MO.  The project improvements included coldmilling of bituminous pavements, removal of concrete pavement, installation of geogrid and aggregate base, 18” of reinforced pavement, asphalt paving, pavement marking, and installation of nearly 1,000 LF of guardrail.  The improvements were phased to keep the Intermodal facility operational during construction.  The Lindenwood Yard is a 65-acre secure site located in the heart of St. Louis and it is considered one of the most efficient intermodal terminals in the St. Louis region due to its proximity to Interstate 44 and Jamieson and Arsenal intersections.  This terminal processes nearly 60,000 lifts each year.
